Listen. Play. Hang. Connect.
EVERY Wednesday in North Hollywood
This is the chapter that started it all back in November 2019, when Greg Gilman of Greg in Good Company launched L.A.’s first weekly Nashville-style songwriter round showcase, which was designed to facilitate connection between artists from the local music scene and beyond. Greg and his team invite the best performers they know from a vast professional network to play original music in carefully curated rounds, and then welcome any artists in the audience to drop their name in The Hat for a chance to be picked at the end of each curated round to play in shorter open-mic rounds. WR:LA, now hosted by Broadway B, is held every Wednesday in North Hollywood at Universal Bar and Grill, an all-ages venue (until 10 PM) that offers FREE PARKING in a lot right outside, plus plenty of street parking, as well as a full menu of delicious food and drink. Doors open at 7 PM for this FREE showcase and L.A. music community hang, with music starting by 8 PM and an OPEN JAM wrapping up the night.
